The 'Pillow Book' and 'The Sensual Pillow Book' were filmed by actors from France, the UK, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Japan, and China. When she was young, every birthday, her bisexual father would use a brush dipped in red paint to write on her face, leaving a deep impression on her. From that moment on, she believed that calligraphy written on the body was the only true calligraphy. Additionally, being influenced by literature from a young age, she had her own independent thoughts but struggled to express herself due to the authoritative power of patriarchy in reality. Her pursuit of self through her obsession with literature led to the failure of her first marriage. Later, she went to Hong Kong, where she met the publisher Jerome (played by Ewan McGregor) and his bisexual partner, Shéran. Shéran encouraged her to write on her own body, leading to the creation of the 'Pillow Book'. Gradually, Shéran and her grew closer due to shared interests, and in order to win her back, Jerome determined to threaten his own death.
