 Synopsis
Jeannie (played by Cecilia Cheung) is a flight attendant who meets engineer Alan (played by Eason Chan) on the same train, and they begin their romance. At first, the two are deeply in love and immersed in each other’s lives like glue. Like many relationships, Alan grows weary of Jeannie’s controlling ways and starts to struggle; Jeannie believes she has given everything to her boyfriend and invests herself fully in the relationship. However, gradually, the passion of their initial romance fades, and their feelings cool. Jeannie makes efforts to salvage the relationship, and they reconcile, but at that point, Jeannie realizes she no longer loves Alan, which ultimately leads to their breakup. Jeannie disappears from Alan's life, continuing to wander alone in the bustling metropolis, searching for another 'Twelve Nights,' and she meets someone else who captures her heart.
