 Synopsis
Mike (Raven Phoenix) and Scott (Keanu Reeves) are both male prostitutes fallen to the streets, but due to their vastly different family backgrounds, they are not as 'understanding' as one might think, despite being 'fellow wanderers of the same fate.' Mike, who often faints, is constantly filled with fragmented memories of his broken childhood; the poetic countryside of Idaho frequently appears in his dreams. He desperately wants to find his long-lost mother and sees Scott as both a confidant and a lover. Scott, the son of the mayor of Portland, has 'voluntarily fallen' into this life just to experience the thrill of a wild youth. He knows clearly that, although he is now traveling with Mike from Portland to Seattle and from Idaho to Italy, Mike cannot become his ultimate warm home. He can only return to power, wealth, and women.
