 Synopsis
In the early 1970s in Hong Kong, there was no Independent Commission Against Corruption yet, and corruption was rampant, causing great suffering for the people. Police sergeant Wang Yichong (played by Ti Long) was honest and upright, unwilling to engage in corruption, which made him unpopular among his colleagues, leading to his ostracism at the police station. During an operation, Wang Yichong's subordinate Mo Sen (played by Ren Dahua) even shot him in the back, leaving him severely injured. Meanwhile, Governor MacLehose commissioned Sir John Cowperthwaite to investigate corruption in Hong Kong, and his assistant Ma Annie sought Wang Yichong's help. Through the investigation, Wang Yichong learned that Mo Sen had shot him out of desperation, as he was actually being pressured. Therefore, Wang Yichong approached Mo Sen and selected a group of elite trainees from the police academy to collectively start gathering evidence against the corruption syndicate, marking the first strike against corruption in Hong Kong!
