Lingling Gong, Lingling Xi, Lingling Fa (played by Stephen Chow), and Lingling Cai are the four great masters of the palace, dedicated to protecting the safety of the emperor (played by Zhang Daming). Although he is claimed to be one of the four great masters, Lingling Fa really only knows how to make small inventions and cannot fight at all. One time, due to failing to complete the emperor's order to capture the four legendary figures of the martial world, he was expelled from the palace.
