Afawn (played by Yu Wenle) lost his parents at a young age. To survive, he sells sugarcane with his friend Amin (played by Huang Younan) at the theater entrance. One day, they see Alan (played by Cai Zhuoyan) performing lion dance on the street. Amin falls in love with Alan at first sight and decides to accompany Afawn to Alan's father's (played by Ge Minghui) martial arts school, pretending to learn martial arts to get closer to her. However, Alan has feelings for Afawn, and Afawn decides to support his good friend, gradually growing distant from Alan. At a funeral, Afawn meets a girl who grew up in a nunnery - 'Master Extinction' (played by Zhong Xintong). Afawn is deeply attracted by her beauty and secretly follows her up the mountain every day. The girl eventually discovers him and develops feelings for him, wanting Afawn to take her out of the nunnery to see the colorful world. After they escape, she disappears from Afawn's life. Amin uses an old movie script to win Alan's affection, but Afawn still cannot forget his 'Master Extinction'.
