Blue Sea and Red Waves

During the Korean War, the American imperialists attempted to cut off our transportation lines using their air superiority. To thwart the enemy's Plan S, which aimed at stealthily attacking the No. 1 bridge across the river, a certain unit of the Volunteer Army dispatched Lei Bo to lead a radar unit to set up radar in front of the enemy's positions. The enemy sent aircraft for reconnaissance, and Lei Bo and others set up a fake antenna to mislead the enemy's judgment. Subsequently, Lei Bo took risks to defuse a timed bomb and eliminated enemy agents who attempted to destroy the radar and conduct interference. At the peak of the fighting, enemy aircraft bombed the radar's supply line. When Lei Bo was connecting the line, he was shot in the arm, but he endured the immense pain and connected the supply line, ensuring timely reporting of air conditions, which helped our army to thwart the enemy's Plan S. During the Cultural Revolution, the film industry faced significant changes. Nearly all feature films produced before the Cultural Revolution were labeled as toxic and banned from screening, and the domestic films shown in cinemas were almost entirely news documentaries of Chairman Mao meeting Red Guards. If one wanted to watch a feature film, there were only a few foreign films available. People humorously remarked, 'Korean films have laughter and tears, Vietnamese films have planes and cannons, Albanian films have hugs and kisses, and Chinese films are just 'News Briefs.'' This film is a rare gem from the ten years of the Cultural Revolution and serves as a classic collection from the red era, telling the story of our Volunteer Army during the Korean War.
