Based on Shigenobu Komatsu's novel "Flea-catching Samurai", Hiroshi Abe plays a samurai named Hiroshi Kobayashi who is exiled for offending the feudal lord, under the pretense of being a flea exterminator while actually selling 'meat' to female customers as an 'eros samurai'. The first customer, Komine (played by Shinobu Terajima), resembles his late wife, but within minutes she criticizes his bed skills, prompting him to resolve to improve his techniques in intimacy. Etsuji Toyokawa plays Seibei, a henpecked husband who teaches the protagonist the ways to please women, while Atsuko Maeda plays Seibei's wife. Takumi Saito plays Abe's neighbor, Saeki Tomonori, a poor but free private tutor.
