In that brutal battle in Chicago years ago, the Autobots successfully repelled the Decepticon invasion, but it also caused the people of Earth to lose their trust and respect for them. The ' Cemetery Wind' unit, formed by the CIA, launched an indiscriminate hunt for all Transformers, and for a time, both Autobots and Decepticons vanished from Earth. One day, Cade Yeager (played by Mark Wahlberg), a down-and-out mechanical inventor living in Texas, bought an old truck cab, only to discover it was the dormant Autobot leader Optimus Prime. The Cemetery Wind unit, catching their scent, rushed in, and once awakened, Optimus saved Cade's family and made contact with the scattered Autobots. On the other hand, a mad human scientist learned the secret of their transformation from the wreckage of the Transformers and attempted to create artificial Transformers, with a product born from Megatron—Lockdown—being their proud creation and a grim reaper. A new round of crisis loomed, and Earth faced even greater disasters...
