The film tells the story set in the second half of the 21st century, where a fierce conflict erupts between humans and artificial intelligence. The female protagonist, Yi Ni (played by Han Congcong), bravely makes her fateful choice and leads a robot army in a deadly battle against the powerful Ron Corporation. Yi Ni is a humanoid robot born during the "2060 Incident," and she is the only hope to prevent the Ron Corporation from controlling humanity. Growing up in the streets and the robot black market, she is captured by the Ron Corporation during an unexpected conflict and learns the truth about her origin. The ones who save her from their clutches are the robots that survived the "2060 Incident." Thereafter, in order to stop the Ron Corporation's crazy acts of domination over humanity, Yi Ni leads the robot army in a desperate counterattack, starting a century-defining battle for the fate of mankind. Through this struggle, Yi Ni transforms into a highly powerful super "Black Phoenix."
