A group of five, including Whitney Miller (played by Amanda Righetti) and her boyfriend Mike (played by Nick Mennell), goes to Crystal Lake Forest for a fun vacation, but their joyful time is soon replaced by a bloody massacre. The murderous Jason (played by Derek Mears), hiding in the shadows, suddenly appears and starts killing the young men and women one by one. Six weeks later, college student Trent (played by Travis Van Winkle) and a group of friends arrive at a cabin at Crystal Lake to party again, where they encounter Clay (played by Jared Padalecki), who is searching for his sister Whitney. Although the police claim there are no missing persons in the area, Clay is convinced that his sister is somewhere in the woods. Meanwhile, Trent's two friends are attacked by Jason.
