In the year 2033, due to the impact of a comet, Earth has become a desert wasteland, and the entire planet has not seen a drop of rain for 11 years. The Water Power Company controls the remaining water resources, and those who do not comply are drained of their bodily fluids until death. Tank Girl Rebecca's rebel friends are all killed by the Water Power Company, and she is imprisoned in a concentration camp. To take revenge for her friends, Tank Girl teams up with Plane Girl to escape from prison, seize a tank and an airplane, and lead a group of mutated gene kangaroo people in a desperate counterattack to defeat the Water Power Company and save the Earth. Based on a popular British cult comic, it is a quirky post-apocalyptic/dystopian punk film.
