Shao Gu Xie was an informant for the police, providing them with a lot of extremely valuable intelligence. One day, he mysteriously died in Malaysia. Huang Wei Bang (played by Li Zi Xiong) is a detective in the serious crimes unit, known for his precise shooting skills, but he is unable to perform his duties due to a hand injury and is preparing to resign. Shao Gu Xie had a past connection with Huang Wei Bang, as the former saved the latter's life. The mysterious circumstances surrounding Shao Gu Xie’s death lead Huang Wei Bang to resolve to take on the case and investigate the truth behind it. Together with Inspector Weng Zhen Fu (played by Lu Jing Hua), Detective Jin Sha Zhan (played by Guo Zhui), and senior brother Lun Guo Qiang (played by Huang Yan Meng), an elite task force is established. They focus their investigation on wealthy businessman He Jia Nian (played by Weng Shi Jie), but this cunning old fox is deeply hidden and leaves no trace. Meanwhile, Huang Wei Bang discovers that their every move is being watched by a mysterious figure.
