In the early years of the Republic of China, Pu Yi, the last emperor of the Qing Dynasty, was controlled by the Japanese and established the puppet Manchukuo government in the north. The Japanese, including Itagaki Seishiro and Kawashima Yoshiko, set up a gas base, brutally harming the Chinese. Caicai had experience as a soldier and a doctor. One day, at the request of local natives, he went into the jungle to rescue people. Along the way, he faced many dangers, and upon arrival, he found a group of soldiers affected by gas. Uncle Cai did his best to rescue them, but their commander could not be saved. Before dying, he entrusted the task of resisting the enemy to Meng Dahai. Uncle Cai, eager to serve his country, wished to join the army but was rejected. Uncle Cai infiltrated the palace, masquerading as a cook, and reunited with Meng Dahai and others. Their goal was to seek the map of the gas base by finding the 'Yangtze No. 1' celestial phoenix, but their actions were discovered by Itagaki Seishiro and Kawashima Yoshiko. Therefore, Uncle Cai and Tianfeng fled to another place, during which Uncle Cai rescued a woman named Lan. The group gathered forces and prepared to launch a major attack on the gas base. After many fierce battles, they ultimately achieved victory.
