Athena is a mentor of an aromatherapy class, filled with rich emotions inside. She lives a very lonely life every day, following the same pattern; each day she buys a balloon, writes her feelings on it, and releases it. One day, while taking a shower, she heard a loud noise from the rooftop and saw a gigantic creature with wings, which turned out to be an injured angel (played by Takeshi Kaneshiro). The angel needs love to sustain his life daily, so Athena takes him around the city every day. The angel also realizes that Athena has been feeling down because she has been worried about her deceased ex-boyfriend, and he decides to help her find joy and vitality again. The angel learns that at the midnight mass on New Year's Eve, the Holy Door in the Vatican will open, allowing him to return to his rightful place, and he asks Athena to take him to the Vatican...
