 Synopsis
Chris (Tyler James Williams), a 13-year-old black child, lives in Brooklyn, New York. He has a desperate father, Julius (Terry Crews), a vain and capable loud-sounding mother Rochelle (Tichin a Arnold), and a pair of troubled siblings, Drew (Tequan Richmond) and Tang Ya (Imani Hakim). When he was in school, Chris was sent to a white school by his strict mother. As expected, he was bullied, but he was also lucky to make a good friend - Greg (Vincent Martella), who also had to be a slut because of his thinness and paleness. He was also noisy and helpless from home to school every day. Chris always faced all this with an indifferent spirit of self-deprecating... The prototype of "Chris" in this play is Emmy Award winner and comedy star Chris Rock, and he himself served as the monologue.
