The drama is adapted from a British series of the same name that aired 50 years ago (the original series was based on a long novel and has as many as 15 derivative films). In the remake, the sophisticated international thief Simon Templar (Adam Rayner) considers himself a 'contemporary Robin Hood' — he specializes in stealing from wealthy criminals and always manages to evade both the law and the underworld. As a super spy proficient in disguise, martial arts, espionage techniques, and various weapons, as well as being eloquent, this British gentleman is recruited by a government agency for a secret mission, but the local law enforcement agencies harbor a deep hatred for him.
