Intro： American Horror Story Season 4The story is set in the 1950s. Former German cabaret star Elsa Mars (played by Jessica Lange) organizes a troupe of performers made up of monstrosities to run a freak show in Jupiter, Florida. As the popularity of the freak show declines, Elsa seeks to win back the audience by bringing in conjoined twins Bette and Dot (played by Sarah Paulson), who both have two heads. The main members of the freak show include 'Lobster Boy' Jimmy Darling (played by Evan Peters), Jimmy's bearded mother Ethel (played by Kathy Bates), and 'Three-Breasted' Desiree (played by Angela Bassett), among others. The physically deformed individuals, already marginalized in society, face various troubles while also dealing with external pressures: the conjoined twins are taken in for questioning as murder suspects; the spoiled, psychopathic rich kid Dandy Mott (played by Finn Wittrock) obsessively pursues the conjoined twins, delighting in acts of violence; con artists Stanley (played by Denis O'Hare) and Maggie (played by Emma Roberts) gain the trust of the freaks to infiltrate their ranks, aiming to steal their organs to sell; and the seemingly harmless Elsa harbors dark intentions, willing to betray or even murder the freaks to conceal her schemes.
