One day, a little girl named Alice (played by Kristýna Kohoutová) is playing in her room when a rabbit rushes into her glass cabinet, looking flustered as it gets dressed and sets off. Alice follows this strange rabbit into a drawer and soon falls from a large bucket into another world. However, this is not the Alice's Wonderland we know from fairy tales; the rabbit's belly is strangely filled with sawdust, which it needs to eat for energy, and it possesses a giant pair of scissors specifically for beheading. The fish bones in a fishbowl bite people; sock worms have fake teeth that they wriggle around with... Everything here is less about fantasy and more about bizarre and even cruel, dirty elements. Faced with unexpected threats, Alice explores forward in this 'wonderland.' Where will she ultimately end up, and what will she encounter? At the same time, she is curious about which is the reality: this world or her own room, and which is the 'wonderland'... The film won the Short Film Award at the Annecy International Animated Film Festival in 1989.
