Bing (played by Lee Ka Yan) is the daughter of a famous entrepreneur in Shanghai. In order to find her biological mother, who has been missing for over a decade, she sneaks away to Hong Kong without her father's knowledge and meets 'Dark Horse Prince' Wah Di (played by Andy Lau). Wah Di, out of kindness, takes her in and, together with her mother, helps her search for her biological mother. However, Bing is kidnapped, and Wah Di assists the police in rescuing her. After Bing is injured, Wah Di donates part of his liver to her. Bing returns to Shanghai with her father, but while she is recovering, she realizes that she has fallen in love with Wah Di. On her birthday, her father says he wants to introduce her to a 'White Horse Prince'...
