Intro: The ProphetYoung Malik (played by Tahar Rahim) is sentenced to six years in prison for participating in criminal activities. In prison, he quickly catches the attention of Corsican gang leader Luciani (played by Niels Arestrup) due to his half-Arab heritage. Luciani forces Malik to assassinate an Arab inmate, which Malik accomplishes, gaining the protection of Luciani's gang during his prison term. A year later, some Corsican inmates are transferred out of the prison, significantly weakening Luciani's influence. Having learned Corsican, Malik becomes Luciani's eyes and ears. At the same time, he diligently studies at the prison school. Soon, Malik is given the opportunity to work outside the prison during the day. Using the connections he acquired while incarcerated, Malik becomes involved in the cannabis business, making substantial profits and gradually breaking free from Luciani's control to establish his own operation...
