In the deep sea of the South Pacific at a depth of 1000 feet, the U.S. government has discovered a mysterious spacecraft that is 300 years old. Authorities immediately assembled a team to investigate, consisting of top scientists: psychologist Norman Goodman (played by Dustin Hoffman), biochemist Beth Halperin (played by Sharon Stone), and mathematician Harry Adams (played by Samuel L. Jackson). They used a high-tech experimental vessel to dive deep into the ocean for exploration. However, inside the vessel, there was a huge and strange spherical object that possessed a powerful magic capable of seeing into everyone's inner world, seemingly able to manipulate their thoughts and behaviors. Worse, an unknown underwater creature also attacked the experimental vessel.
