 Synopsis
Tai Zhi (played by Jin Laiyuan) dropped out of college and became a small leader in the gang. He would fight fiercely without holding back after drinking, and at times, he would grow bolder as the fights went on, earning him the nickname 'Mad Dog.' However, Tai Zhi eventually ended up in prison, and when he was released on parole, he seemed like a completely different person. His indifferent attitude towards his enemies baffled everyone. He spent his days with a handbook, which recorded the ordinary tasks he needed to accomplish in his life. This was a manual he had kept while in prison, and he intended to set rules for himself to improve. The handbook was given to him by Dezi, with whom he had sought to reconnect. Dezi treated Tai Zhi like his own son. Yet, Dezi's daughter, Xi Shu, often hurled harsh words at Tai Zhi, though in reality, she did not dislike him. The three of them were about to embark on their new lives, but no one believed that Tai Zhi was willing to change.
