This film is adapted from the classic work of Gu Long and is another masterpiece directed by Chu Yuan. The world's number one swordsman, Yan Nantian (played by Wang Rong), takes a baby to the Valley of Evil to seek revenge for his sworn brother Jiang Feng, only to unwittingly fall into a trap and lose consciousness. The baby grows up in the Valley of Evil and is named Xiao Yu'er (played by Fu Sheng). Xiao Yu'er learns about his true background from the divine doctor Wan Chunliu and leaves the valley to avenge Jiang Qing! Along the way, he encounters Tie Xinlan (played by Wen Xue'er), obtaining a treasure map, while also being pursued by Hua Wuqiu (played by Wu Weiguo), a disciple of the Yihua Palace. It turns out that Hua and Yu are actually twin siblings, and the master of Yihua Palace, unhappy with their father Jiang Feng's change of heart, collaborates with Jiang Qing (played by Tang Jing), who has changed her name to Jiang Biehe, to orchestrate the brothers' mutual destruction! As the conspiracy unravels, Hua and Yu join forces and ultimately stab Jiang and the palace master to death. This is a story about treasure and twin brothers being manipulated into killing each other, considered one of Chu Yuan's best-directed films. Fu Sheng's performance adds a unique quality to the film; his portrayal of the kung fu young man who ultimately discovers the truth about his parents' death leaves a deep impression on the audience. Unfortunately, Fu Sheng passed away in a car accident at the young age of 29, which is truly regrettable.
