 Synopsis
A woman's mysterious disappearance is connected to a series of brutal murders. The perverse 'evil spirit' has been hiding for 20 years, and he could be right beside us? Veterinarian Yu Na (played by Chen Duling) vanishes during a nighttime outing, with clues leading back to the 'evil spirit' who committed a shocking series of rape and murder cases 20 years ago. The gruesome method of cutting off ears sends chills down the spine. New victims continue to emerge, with seven innocent lives brutally murdered, yet the true culprit seems to have evaporated. Police officer Feng Taishan (played by Ning Li), who was involved in the case back then, is determined to uncover the 'evil spirit' and find traces of veterinarian Yu Na. Her employer at the pig farm, Yan Huiru (played by Liu Mingtao), and her family have suspicious behaviors; both the elder son Zhang Xiaojun (played by Wang Xun) and the younger son Zhang Xiaowei (played by Duan Bowen) appear to have hidden sides. The investigation gradually falls into a dilemma. The murderer is concealed, and their cruelty is boundless, but behind the truth lies an even more bloody and cruel dark secret...
