Cheng Mi Liu (played by Sammo Hung) vows to avenge his uncle, who was brutally killed by the Manchurians. Under the guidance of Monk San De (played by Chan Sing), Cheng Mi Liu enters the Shaolin Temple to practice martial arts and is highly regarded by his master Jing Chen (played by Huang Feng). Eager for revenge, Cheng Mi Liu knows he cannot pass through the Wooden Man Alley, so he decides to secretly sneak out of the Shaolin Temple. When his plan is discovered, he faces punishment according to temple rules; fortunately, his punishment is handled by his senior brother Xie Ya Fu (played by Tian Jun), and soon Cheng Mi Liu is granted permission to leave the mountain. Niu Jing Liang (played by Lu Hai Peng), despite his fierce appearance, has a kind heart and works as a machinist in a dyeing factory. The spoiled rich boy Bai An Fu (played by Feng Ke An), who acts tyrannically in the city as the younger brother of a Manchurian, brutally violates Niu Jing Liang's beautiful sister, leading her to commit suicide out of despair. Overwhelmed with grief and anger, Niu Jing Liang is determined to avenge his sister.
