A Chinese Odyssey: Moonlight Box (Mandarin)

Sun Wukong (Stephen Chow) escorts Tang Seng (Law Kar Ying) on the journey to the West to obtain scriptures. Along the way, he conspires with Bull Demon King to kill Tang Seng and steals the Moonlight Treasure Box. This act prompts Guanyin to consider eliminating him. After a plea from Tang Seng, Sun Wukong is sentenced to reincarnate as a human being after five hundred years to atone for his sins. Five hundred years later, Sun Wukong transforms into the bandit leader Zhi Zun Bao. When he encounters the demon sisters who plot to eat Tang Seng's flesh, the spider spirit Chun San Shi Niang (Lisa Wang) and Bai Gu Jing Bai Jing Jing (Mok Man Wei), he falls in love with Bai Jing Jing at first sight due to their past relationship five hundred years ago. However, after Master Bodhi reveals their identities as demons, Zhi Zun Bao leads the bandits to confront the two demons. During the encounter, Bai Jing Jing injures Chun San Shi Niang to save Zhi Zun Bao, but is poisoned and wounded herself. To save Bai Jing Jing, Zhi Zun Bao goes to find Chun San Shi Niang, but is misunderstood by Bai Jing Jing and, in despair, commits suicide. Zhi Zun Bao then begins to use the Moonlight Treasure Box in hopes of reversing time.
