Frozen: The Rebirth Gate

In the late Ming Dynasty during the Jiajing era, the Jinyiwei officer He Ying (played by Donnie Yen) was ordered to transport the priceless "Time-Space Golden Ball" back from India. He devoted himself to the court but unexpectedly fell victim to an ambush by his brothers. The leader, Yuan Long (played by Simon Yam), along with Nie Hu (played by Yu Kang) and Sa Mao (played by Wang Baoqiang), came to arrest him due to a wrongful case against He Ying. During the fierce battle among the four brothers, a sudden earthquake occurred, and a massive avalanche buried them. However, upon waking up, He Ying discovered that he had arrived in Hong Kong 400 years later. Completely unfamiliar with modern society, he randomly encountered nightclub hostess Xiao Mei (played by Huang Shengyi), which led to a lot of comical situations. With Xiao Mei's help, He Ying learned to use high-tech products and gradually transformed into a modern urban man. Just as their relationship began to deepen, the "Jinyiwei trio" also traveled to the modern era to continue their mission while the bewildered police were hunting down He Ying, the "superpower" individual, presenting He Ying with the greatest challenge of the past 400 years. This film is adapted and remade from the 1989 movie "The Coolest Action Hero" starring Yuen Biao, Maggie Cheung, and Yuen Wah, directed by Ho Yau Leung. This is Wang Baoqiang's first appearance in a martial arts film.
