 Synopsis
The story begins in the Ming Dynasty, where Feng San (played by Yuan Hua) is cruel-hearted and commits all kinds of evil. As a member of the Jinyiwei, his martial arts master, Fang Shouzheng (played by Yuan Biao), vows to bring Feng San to justice. However, Feng San is cunning and even attempts to steal a black jade Buddha that can alter time and space in order to evade the law. After several battles, both fall off a cliff. Time passes, and we find ourselves in modern times, where an archaeological team digs up the ice-encased corpses of Feng San and Fang Shouzheng in the snow and transports them to the United States for research. However, an accident along the way leads to their resurrection. By chance, Fang Shouzheng meets a delinquent girl named A Yu (played by Maggie Cheung) and mistakenly becomes her bodyguard, while Feng San, unchanged in his wicked nature, joins a gang and continues to commit crimes. When Fang Shouzheng learns that Feng San is still up to no good, he decides to continue his unfinished mission.
