Reeve (played by Ekin Cheng) is a zombie hunter who must drink a potion before each mission to become half-human, half-zombie to unleash his powers. His former partner Lila (played by Josie Ho) died during a mission, and Gypsy (played by Gillian Chung) was brought in as her replacement. Her arrival causes discontent for Reeve's sister, Helen (played by Charlene Choi), leading to a fierce confrontation between the two women. The zombie prince Kazaf (played by Edison Chen) and his servant Prada (played by Anthony Wong) live off the plasma sent by his father, the Zombie King. Kazaf is inherently kind and never harms the innocent. Helen encounters the handsome Kazaf, and one day, after Kazaf is injured while being chased by the Zombie Count, Helen learns of his identity and resolutely helps him sneak into the hospital for blood, even bringing him home. It turns out that the Zombie Holy Text 'Day for Night' is in Kazaf's possession. After one mission, Reeve cannot find the antidote and thus turns into a zombie, nearly killing his own sister. In a desperate measure, Gypsy kills the beloved Reeve, and Helen, in her attempt to save Kazaf who has fallen into the hands of the Zombie Count, teams up with Gypsy to launch an attack.
