Synopsis

The blind masseur Zatoichi, played by Shintaro Katsu, travels the world with his extraordinary skills. While passing through Kanasu, he is invited to massage the prince of the Kuroda family. Unexpectedly, the prince acts wildly and behaves abnormally. To prevent family disgrace from leaking out, the Kuroda family orders samurai to kill Zatoichi on his way back, but all the assassins fall to his sword. While avoiding his enemies, Zatoichi meets a gentle woman named Aze, played by Yoshikazu Mizutani, who reminds him of Chiyo, the woman he deeply hurt in the past. After a short visit, Zatoichi sets off again to pay respects to a sake brewer who died at his hands, returning to Sasagawa. Meanwhile, Kanbei, a yakuza boss bought off by the Kuroda family, played by Sosuke Nakamura, leads his men in pursuit. At the same time, the one-armed ronin Shirō, played by Tomisaburo Wakayama, and his younger brother Sanzō are also staying in Sasagawa, making an inevitable confrontation of fate unavoidable...
