Summer vacation has arrived. College student Grace Andrews (played by Sophia Bush) and her boyfriend Jim Halsey (played by Kyle Davis) plan to drive to Mexico for a romantic and thrilling road trip. However, they encounter a rather unusual-looking hitchhiker, John Ryder (played by Sean Bean), who asks for a ride. Although the two students hesitate, they ultimately agree to John's request. Little do they know, a nightmare is about to unfold. John openly reveals his murderous intentions in the car; he takes pleasure in killing, and his targets may very well be the two defenseless college students in front of him. Grace and Jim are terrified, and after a fierce struggle, they finally manage to push John out of the car and flee in panic. Is the nightmare over? Or is this just the beginning?
