The adventure movie "Journey 2: The Mysterious Island" begins with 17-year-old Sean Anderson (played by Josh Hutcherson) receiving a mysterious SOS signal from an unknown island. Unable to dissuade Sean from tracking the signal's source, Sean's stepfather Hank (played by Dwayne Johnson) has no choice but to join him on this journey to the South Pacific. Their ultimate destination is an island few living people have seen. It is a place of breathtaking beauty, with singing birds and fragrant flowers; extraordinary and rare animals; breathtaking peaks and volcanoes; a mysterious paradise full of wonders. They manage to find one helicopter pilot willing to take risks with them, Gabato (played by Luis Guzmán), and his beautiful, strong daughter Kailani (played by Vanessa Hudgens). Together, the four embark on this quest to find the island. Along the way, they not only save the island's only human inhabitant but also escape before the island is submerged by earthquake shockwaves, burying its endless treasures. All of this unfolds in "Journey 2: The Mysterious Island," which is another thrilling adventure story following the global success of "Journey 1: Journey to the Center of the Earth" in 2008.
