Surrounded by the azure sea, Sri Lanka had previously been shrouded in the shadow of terrorist attacks. On the bustling streets of the city, a grim-looking bald man, Vincent Dias (played by Ben Kingsley), weaves through the crowd. He eventually arrives at an abandoned building, and after reaching the top floor, he methodically sets up his work. After speaking with his wife, he makes another call. On the other end is Maurice Da Silva, the deputy director of the police rapid response center. Vincent claims that he has planted five bombs in the capital, Colombo, and the only condition for defusing them is the release of four detained terrorists. The deputy director realizes the seriousness of the situation, but government officials are attending important meetings abroad and cannot help. With no other options, the deputy director reluctantly takes on the role of the chief commander, instructing his subordinates to trace the source of the bombs and Vincent's whereabouts. Time ticks away, and the safety of tens of thousands of civilians hangs by a thread...
