A-Hua (Andy Lau) is a ballroom dance teacher, who appears gentle and refined like a gentleman on stage, but in life, he is truly a mean-spirited person. For him, dancing has gradually become a means to wealth rather than having any other significance. A-Jin (Maggie Wu) is an ordinary waitress at a ballroom dance company. Aware of her average qualities, she lives a busy and hardworking life without complaints. At a socialite ball, A-Hua charms socialite Tina (Anita Mui) with his graceful demeanor, while his suave looks also catch the attention of A-Jin, who is present at the same event. The next day, A-Jin comes to a dance class at the 'Dance Forest' where A-Hua teaches. However, A-Hua sees her as an easy target to make money and attempts to scam her. Although A-Jin is aware of his intentions, she willingly falls for it until her sincere feelings are insulted, leading her to leave in anger. At this point, A-Hua has unknowingly fallen in love with this stubborn and infatuated woman.
