The film "Soaring Falcon" tells the story of how two generations of test pilots in the Chinese People's Liberation Army Air Force flew China's first domestically-produced fighter jet, the "Falcon." Chief test pilot Kong Fan and his comrade Ling Zhiyuan share a master-disciple bond, but their personalities are vastly different. The older Kong Fan is steady and persistent, while the younger Ling Zhiyuan is passionate and vigorous. Due to the nature of their work, they constantly face life-and-death tests. As ordinary people, they both pursue beautiful love and cherish their family ties. However, in order to master all the technical data of the first domestically-produced fighter jet, the "Falcon," they disregard personal gains and safety, repeatedly seeking experience from failures, and ultimately successfully completed the test flight of the "Falcon."
