 Synopsis
After Di Renjie (played by Zhao Youting) solves the case of the Dragon King in the capital, Emperor Gaozong (played by Sheng Jian) bestows upon him the divine weapon, the Kanglong Mace. However, it provokes jealousy from Empress Wu Zetian (played by Liu Jialing). To seize the Kanglong Mace, the Empress frames Di Renjie and assembles a group of 'anomalous beings' skilled in strange arts, led by Yuchi Zhenjin (played by Feng Shaofeng). With the help of the medical officer Shatuo Zhong (played by Lin Gengxin), Di Renjie successfully escapes the persecution from the 'anomalous beings' and discusses reconciliation with Yuchi Zhenjin. Meanwhile, assassin Shuiyue (played by Ma Sichun) from the 'anomalous beings' discovers an unknown force emerging in the capital. As Di Renjie navigates Wu Zetian's ambush, the Tang Dynasty falls into a deeper crisis, with the 'Demon-Sealing Tribe' coming into play, setting the stage for an impending 'Demon Slaughter' battle...
