Deb (played by Brooke D'Orsay) is a beautiful woman who stands out but is shallow in knowledge. She dreams of becoming a supermodel one day but dies in a serious car accident. Upon arriving in heaven, she is turned away by the gatekeeper Fred (played by Ben Feldman) because he deems her a shallow mediocre and unworthy of heaven or hell. After arguing with Fred, she accidentally presses the button to return to Earth. However, another accident occurs, and she ends up in the wrong body. She enters the body of Jane (played by Brooke Elliott), a smart, insightful, strong-willed, hardworking, and dedicated lawyer whose only flaw is that she is overweight. Left with no choice, Deb must rely on her guardian angel Fred to help her live as Jane. Without her beauty, how will she navigate life on Earth, and how can she reclaim her past?
