Mary, the daughter of a fabric merchant, was framed by the lord of the city due to her wealthy family background. After her father was killed and she was subjected to humiliation and whipping, she was expelled from the city of Constantinople. Mary vowed to return and take revenge for the blood feud, and so she changed her name to Hannah. During her exile, she was taken in by a group of prostitutes. To avenge herself, she had no choice but to wield the most natural weapon given to women by God.
