Synopsis

In the year 1093, a nameless fire broke out fiercely in the Fengyue Pavilion of Princess Duan Xinyao's bedroom in the Dali Kingdom. At that time, Xinyao had ventured outside and narrowly escaped, but the crown prince lost his life in the flames while trying to protect his sister. The reigning emperor, Duan Zhengming, was driven to madness and vented his anger on those around him, leading to a sorrowful atmosphere in the Dali royal family and an unusually tense court.
