 Synopsis
The tragic experiences of being abused by his adoptive mother and his non-blood-related sister during childhood have made Anthony (played by Derek Luke) reclusive and twisted. As an adult, he not only possesses a brutal personality without empathy, but also harbors deep hatred toward women. This troubled Anthony becomes a Navy man, and his unbearable personality not only torments himself but also brings much trouble to those around him.After getting into serious trouble once again, Anthony is ordered to undergo psychological therapy. As his therapist, Jerome (played by Denzel Washington) is filled with concern. Fortunately, with Jerome's help, Anthony gradually unravels the knots in his heart. In their communication, Jerome unexpectedly discovers Anthony's kind and delicate side. Ultimately, Anthony conquers his tragic past and overcomes his former self.
