Ralph Angel (played by Kofi Siriboe) finally learns the truth about his blood relationship with Bru (played by Ethan Hutchison). Meanwhile, Violet (played by Tina Lejuste) and Hollywood (played by Omar J. Dorsey) return home from Venice, Italy. Nova (played by Rutina Wesley) meets with a publishing executive interested in her work, while Charlie (played by Don-Lyenne Gardner) meets with Sam Landry (played by David Jensen) to solidify their new partnership. After the meeting, Charlie reveals to Ralph Angel a hidden plan involving the Landry enterprise. Later, everyone goes to Collins High School to cheer for the Saint Joe's team; however, four teenagers kneel in silent protest, leading to an unexpected turn of events. Micah is deeply drawn to these teenage protesters. That evening, Charlie accidentally discovers the true character of Officer Orson, the same cop who caused Micah mental trauma. The next day, Nova meets with the teenage protesters to listen to their stories.
