Junrong (played by Gan Zhengyu) is a university professor who holds a casual attitude towards love, which has resulted in him not settling down by the time he reaches marrying age. During a date, he meets the avant-garde lighting designer Juanji (played by Yan Zhenhua), and they end up having a relationship after drinking together, influenced by alcohol. Juanji knows that Junrong is a man who does not wish to marry, yet she is indifferent and maintains a subtle relationship with him. Later, Juanji marries a doctor, but after marriage, she continues to meet Junrong, visiting the unit she rented for him every weekend. As time goes on, Junrong begins to feel confused about their relationship.
