Eleven-year-old David Wiseman is passionate about cricket but not skilled.He is well-equipped but has no skills and has become a laughing stock in the school.So, David was ecstatic when a Jamaican family moved to the next door and built a cricket net in the back garden.But this is Britain in the 1960s, and when neighbors start to cause trouble for newcomers, the Davids are in a dilemma, and he must choose between integrating into the local environment and standing up to maintain new friends who have turned his world upside down.
