"New Sweet Heart Warriors" was produced from 1994 to 1995, with a new series version of the "Sweet Heart Warriors" OVA being developed. The main voice actress was Michiko Nagai. The clever girl warrior Sweet Heart is vividly described, and according to the theatrical release of Toei's TV animation work, the TV animation quickly gained popularity, leading to the launch of a new series version of the same name. The character design was handled by Go Nagai, and the direction was taken on by Yasushi Nagakawa. The script was written by Isao Shizutani. This new series is a work created 20 years after the original, containing adult content rated 18+. Initially planned to be completed in 4 episodes, due to its immense popularity, it was extended to 12 episodes, but because the co-production company went bankrupt, it was ultimately decided that only 8 episodes would be made. As a result, the editing of the 8th episode was rushed, and since the script for the 9th episode was already completed, it was produced as a bonus CD drama and included in the DVD box set.
