Cold Fish (2010). Japanese with Chinese subtitles. In a tropical fish store in Fujimi City, a family of three, the Sachibone family, resides. The head of the family, Shinsuke (played by Mitsuru Bu), remarried the beautiful Miyako shortly after his wife's death, which greatly displeased his daughter Mitsuko, resulting in a tense atmosphere at home. Miyako is extremely careful, fearing that she might cause trouble. One night, Mitsuko is caught shoplifting at a supermarket, and the Sachibone couple rushes to her aid. Luckily, a kind stranger, Yukio Murata, intervenes and helps them escape. Murata is also the owner of a tropical fish store and sincerely invites the Sachibone family to visit his shop, offering a job to Mitsuko. Though the Sachibone couple feels somewhat lost, they unwittingly follow Murata's lead. Soon after, Murata invites Shinsuke to become his business partner, and shockingly kills a man who questions him right in front of Shinsuke. The usually submissive Shinsuke is forced to become an accomplice in Murata's madness, helping him dispose of the body. This film is based on the shocking 1993 Saitama pet lover serial murder case.
