Lychee of Chang'an

The story follows the protagonist Li Shande (played by Lei Jiayin) who, under the deception of his colleagues, transforms from a supervisor into a 'Lychee Envoy.' He is forced to undertake a 'death' mission to deliver fresh lychees from Lingnan to Chang'an for the birthday of Concubine He. The lychees 'change color in one day, lose their fragrance in two days, and alter their taste in three days,' and the distance from Lingnan to Chang'an exceeds five thousand miles, making it an impossible task. To ensure a stable life for his daughter Li Xiouer, Li Shande reluctantly sets off for Lingnan. Meanwhile, Zheng Ping'an (played by Yue Yunpeng), who is seeking evidence to bring down the Right Minister on behalf of the Left Minister, has already arrived in Lingnan. The two men, burdened with their own heavy responsibilities, unexpectedly encounter each other in a foreign land and meet people such as Amita (played by Naer Naxi), the president of a merchant association; Yunqing (played by An Tian), a tavern owner; Su Liang (played by Lü Liang), a merchant; and a girl from the caves, A Tong (played by Zhou Meijun). They also face significant obstacles from He Youguang (played by Feng Jiayi), the governor of Lingnan, and Zhao Xinmin (played by Gong Lei), the chief secretary. With their tasks becoming increasingly complicated, how will they break the deadlock and find a glimmer of hope?
