 Synopsis
Senior Inspector He Shangsheng (Liu Qingyun) is called to the crime scene by the kidnapper of the hostage, Yi Jian (Zheng Yijian), for negotiation. Witnessing Yi Jian's arrogance at the scene, He Shangsheng, filled with fighting spirit, intends to take him down but ends up letting him escape. This setback ignites He Shangsheng's battle spirit and curiosity, prompting him to start playing a 'ransom game' with Yi Jian. He receives several remnants of artwork sent by Yi Jian, and with the help of Interpol officer Ruby (Huang Zhuoling), he discovers that the damaged artworks are all insured by the same international insurance company. He suspects that Yi Jian intends to extort the insurance company and proceeds to investigate. At this moment, Yi Jian happens to call the company's executive Teresa (Lin Xilun) to extort ten million, and Shangsheng immediately takes over the case, only to find that the situation is far more complicated than he expected.
