When Jurassic Park was being built on Isla Nublar, John Hammond (played by Richard Attenborough) considered nearby Isla Sorna as a dinosaur manufacturing site. After the fall of Jurassic Park, the dinosaurs on Isla Sorna survived in complete isolation without the necessary synthetic elements for four years. Hammond was quite curious about this, and he reconnected with Dr. Ian Malcolm (played by Jeff Goldblum), inviting him to visit the island for an investigation. Four years ago, Malcolm had a harrowing experience that made him wary, and he flatly rejected Hammond's proposal. However, upon learning that his girlfriend Sarah (played by Julianne Moore) had already gone to the island, he reluctantly joined the expedition. On Isla Sorna, another group of ruthless adventurers had arrived earlier; they captured dinosaurs to sell them abroad.
