'Hung Kuen and Wing Chun' is directed by the great martial arts director Zhang Che, with martial arts guidance from Tang Shuai and Lau Ka-Leung. The story unfolds around the themes of training and breaking through one's limits, telling of the Eight Banners Martial Arts School operating under the Qing dynasty. To counter the Shaolin disciples, they invite masters Ba Gang (played by Leung Kar-yan) and Yu Bi (played by Wang Lung-wei) to fight against Master Lin Zantian's Shaolin school. The only survivors from the martial arts school are Mai Han (played by Tang Yan-can), Chen Baorong (played by Qi Guanjun), Li Yao (played by Fu Sheng), and He Zhenggang (played by Lau Hoi-Wai). They urgently head to the deep mountains to seek help from Master Lin Zantian, who sends Mai and He to learn 'Ground-Only Eagle Claw Technique' and 'Powerful Eagle Claw Technique' from the Eagle Claw King, hoping to break Ba's 'Iron Shirt' and Yu's Qi Gong. Unfortunately, after mastering the techniques, both Mai and He perish in battle against Ba and Yu. Lin then sends Li and Chen to practice Twin Tiger Crane Fist and Wing Chun Fist...
